Singapore s Ministry of Health confirmed Thursday that a suspected case of covid aboard a Royal Caribbean Cruises ship was a false alarm, an incorrect positive diagnosis that cut short a holiday for almost 2,000 people. A final confirmatory test conducted by the National Public Health Laboratory on Dec. 10 has confirmed that the 83 year-old male Singaporean on board Quantum of the Seas does not have covid-19, the Ministry of Health said. The sample taken from the individual this morning came back negative for the virus. We have rescinded the quarantine orders of his close contacts, who had earlier been placed on quarantine as a precautionary measure.
