Ludovic Badoy, former NHCP executive director passes away

(NHCP) Former National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) executive director and former mayor of Cotabato City Ludovic Deles Badoy passed away at 69 on Sunday, April 18, 2021. In a statement released by the NHCP, his demise was “due to acute respiratory failure, among other complications, secondary to COVID-19.” From 1986 to 1998, Ludovic served the City of Cotabato as mayor, wherein throughout his term, he has made the city “peaceful, orderly, clean, and vibrant,” as Department of Agriculture undersecretary Zamzamin Apatuan said.  Through a Facebook post, Cotabato City councilor Bruce Matabalao expressed his grief and gratitude over Ludovic’s contribution to the city and in his early career.

In a statement issued Tuesday, April 20, DepEd said that the virtual symposium was hosted by its Region III office and Schools Division Office (SDO) of Bataan and Balanga. “The annual commemoration aims to preserve and memorialize the principles, ideals, and deeds of our war veterans as a means to promote patriotism and love of country, especially among students,” DepEd said.
