Freezing fog again a concern for part of Alabama

The Alabama counties in green will be under a freezing fog advisory until 8 a.m. Thursday. The fog could reduce visibilities as well as cause some slick spots on roadways.

The National Weather Service has issued freezing fog advisories for those parts of the state.
Forecasters say fog combined with temperatures below freezing could cause slick spots on roadways as well as low visibilities during the morning commute.
The freezing fog advisory for north Alabama covers Lauderdale, Colbert, Limestone, Madison, Jackson, Franklin, Lawrence, Morgan, Marshall, DeKalb and Cullman counties, according to the National Weather Service in Huntsville:

A wintry mix will be possible for parts of northern Alabama late tonight into Friday morning. Here is the forecast for midnight Friday. Areas north of the Tennessee River have the best chance for seeing snowflakes, but no widespread impacts are expected. Another chance for snow could arrive over the weekend.
