Salvaging Fiesta 2021 by postponing until June means having to deal with San Antonio s summer temperatures, but the fire department is ready to help.
Granted, Fiesta in its usual April schedule is no walk in the park San Antonio is hot in the spring, too but the city has never experienced a blowout bash that coincides with the official first day of summer on June 20.
The San Antonio Fire Department says teams will be ready to help throughout the June 17-27 schedule at official Fiesta events, such as Night In Old San Antonio and Fiesta de Los Reyes. SAFD will set up locations for people who are experiencing heat-related issues to cool off, a city spokesman says.

AUSTIN, TX Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to make its way to the Austin Metro area Thursday afternoon.
The storms will push through between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. into the Austin region bringing possible strong to damaging wind gusts, large hail and some rain showers, according to the National Weather Service San Antonio/Austin.

AUSTIN, TX A cold front that brought severe storms to South-Central Texas overnight has brought hazy weather and poor air quality due to traveling dust from the western part of the U.S. and Mexico on Wednesday.
The National Weather Service San Antonio/Austin said the Austin area can expect warm sunny, windy weather throughout the day as well as more dust on its way Wednesday afternoon.
