MORRISTOWN As we move into construction season, the Ohio Department of Transportation is encouraging motorists to pay extra attention in work zones to ensure the safety of road workers.
National Work Zone Awareness Week is underway a public awareness campaign meant to spread the message that everyone is responsible for work zone safety. The annual spring campaign is held at the beginning of construction season to encourage caution in work zones.
Lauren Borrell, public information officer for ODOT District 11, said the campaign gives the department the opportunity to raise awareness and alert motorists to the importance of keeping focus on the roadways while driving.
