BEAR CREEK – A man was airlifted to the hospital Monday after a crash in Waupaca County.
Deputies responded around 5:15 p.m. to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 45 near State 76, according to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials said a pickup truck with a trailer was going south on Highway 45 when it crossed the center line, entered the east ditch and hit a tree.
Officials said the man who was driving was extricated from the truck and taken by helicopter to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah.
The highway was closed in both directions for about two hours. Officials said the crash is under investigation.

Hadsall said that while the trainers have taken on more cleaning work at the hospital, it has not been enough to constitute.
