The Thames Valley District School Board this evening (Wednesday) reported a number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in St. Thomas and Elgin county schools.
There is one new case each at Davenport Public School and East Elgin Secondary School in Aylmer, at June Rose Callwood and Mitch Hepburn public schools in St. Thomas, Parkside Collegiate Institute in St. Thomas, Summers Corners Public School and Kettle Creek Public School in Port Stanley.
A case has also been reported at Eva Circe Cote French Immersion Public School in Sparta.
The school board has notified all staff, parents and guardians of affected school communities. The health unit is investigating cases to identify close contacts and will follow up directly to provide specific testing advice.

LUCAN BIDDULPH – A number of concerns were expressed by councillors and members of the public at the Dec. 15 council meeting about a proposed subdivision for Saintsbury Line.
Dubbed Timber Ridge, the development sits east of the Ridge Crossing subdivision in Lucan and proposes the development of 177 building lots for single-detached dwellings and one block for a row of 78 townhouse units. All told, the development will take place on about 38 acres of land. It will take several years for both phases to be completed.

WOODSTOCK - An outbreak has been declared at Roch Carrier French Immersion Public School in Woodstock after two more positive cases of COVID-19 were confirmed.
The Thames Valley District School Board also declared outbreaks at AB Lucas Secondary School and Davenport Public School. They confirmed cases at 10 schools on Tuesday at the following schools.
- AB Lucas Secondary School (two cases)
- Clarke Road Secondary School
- John Wise Public School
