Ice time is a hot commodity in Chatham-Kent, but no new bookings are being taken at municipal arenas.
The rinks reopened on Feb. 20 after being closed since Boxing Day because of the province-wide shutdown.

Ice-rental requests started coming in last week as soon as Ontario announced the stay-at-home order would be lifted.
“Everyone’s coming out of their bunker and wanting to book ice,” said Jeff Bray, Chatham-Kent’s director of parks, recreation and cemeteries.
Current ice contracts are being honoured, but no new reservations are being accepted until further notice.
