DHAKA, April 19, 2021 (BSS)–Country’s both the bourses, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) today witnessed upward trend like earlier as investors continued their buying spree on large-cap issues amid optimism.
DSEX, the key index of the DSE, went up by 18.49 points or 0.35 percent to settle at 5,349.92. Two other indices also ended higher. The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, advanced 6.44 points to finish at 2,046.69 and the DSE Shariah Index rose 4.65 points to close at 1,216.20.
Turnover, a crucial indicator of the market, stood at Taka 6,972.97 million on the country’s premier bourse which was Taka 6,072.69 million.
Out of 348 issues traded, 126 closed higher and 154 closed lower while 68 issues remained unchanged on the DSE floor.

DSEX, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 51.69 points or 0.98 per cent to settle at 5,310.19.
Two other indices also ended higher. The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, advanced 29.19 points to finish at 2,026.82 and the DSE Shariah Index gained 10.51 points to close at 1,209.08.
Turnover, a crucial indicator of the market, also stood at Taka 5,564.21 million, which was Taka 5,119.36 million at the previous session of the week.

Price fall in large-cap drives stocks down

DHAKA, April 8, 2021 (BSS) – Stocks today witnessed downward trend due mainly to price fall in large-cap securities.
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went down by 82.56 points or 1.55 per cent to settle at 5,254.78.
Two other indices also closed lower. The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, lost 20.80 points to finish at 1,990.39 and the DSE Shariah Index fell 16.51 points to close at 1,197.66.
The daily trade turnover on the DSE also plunged to Taka 4,758.78 million which was Taka 5,825.23 million at the previous session of the
week.
Losers took a strong lead over the gainers as out of 347 issues traded, 265 closed lower, 47 higher and 35 issues remained unchanged on the DSE trading floor.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 103.89 points or 2.01 per cent to settle at 5,281.38. The DSE 30 Index, comprising blue chips, and the DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also gained 43.61 points to finish at 1,988.27 and 21.88 points closing at 1,204.61.
Turnover, a crucial indicator of the market, stood at Taka 5,084.55 million on the country’s premier bourse which was Taka 2,366.07 million at the previous session of the week.
