Students had their chance to weigh in on the selection of Florida State University s next president last week. All final three candidates in the running to succeed President John Thrasher and become FSU s16th president have histories as prominent leaders and student mentors in their universities.

Richard McCullough, Harvard
Richard McCullough s background includes being vice provost for research at Harvard and former dean of Carnegie Mellon’s College of Science, where he created an “innovation ecosystem” that raised their number of annual start-ups from two to 14, launching the university into a Top 10 spot in innovation among U.S. universities without a medical school.
Iemaan Baagil, owner of You 1st Pharmacy on Garrison Boulevard in Gastonia, sums up her business philosophy with a question:
“A lot of pharmacies offer home delivery, but with how many of them are you going to look up and see the pharmacist at your door?”
Yet at You 1st, that is exactly what will happen for the small business has only two employees. Pharmacist and owner Baagil and pharmacist Sue Chen.
No support staff. No clerical personnel. Just them.
The two have known each other more than 25 years, with most of those years spent working together at large chain pharmacies.
