Growing up, most of us always thought that going to the bathroom right before you left for somewhere was always a good thing, but turns out we were wrong!
Thanks to TikTok user @nosuchthingastmi, it s actually a bad thing if you try to empty the tank before going out because it eventually signals your bladder to try and empty whenever it is halfway-full instead of full.
In her TikTok, which you can see below, she explains that this can lead to increased feelings of urgency because your bladder gets used to functioning at a lower capacity than it s supposed to.
