With support from Trademark East Africa (TMEA) and in partnership with the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), the Federation of East African Freight Forwarders Associations (FEAFFA) has rolled out the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program for customs, agents and freight forwarders in Uganda on a pilot basis.
The programme implemented by FEAFFA across East Africa, will offer timely training that is in tune with changing technologies and logistical needs, thus enabling customs agents and freight forwarders to provide competitive and high-quality end to end services.
The programme was officially launched at Sheraton Hotel in Kampala, where TMEA was represented by Ms Damali Ssali Ag Country Director, The East African Community Secretariat and FEAFFA was represented by Mr John Mathenge.

A three day capacity building workshop on Test Item Construction has been organised for tutors of all 15 Colleges of Education affiliated to the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).
The training which was attended by 90 tutors drawn from the affiliated Colleges of Education was organised by the Institute for Teacher Education and Continuing Professional Development (ITECPD).
The objective of the workshop was to train the participants on how to use the course manual to set appropriate objective test items, use of table of specification for item construction purposes and to support their colleague tutors to use the course manual to develop items for assessment.
The Thailand Insurance Institute (TII), the leading insurance training institute, has partnered with SkillLane, the top online learning and digital training platform in Thailand, to launch the first ever e-Learning CPD (Continuing Professional Development) course for insurance broker license renewal. The six e-learning CPD courses are accredited by the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) for the first, second and third license renewals of life and non-life insurance brokers. The e-learning course is now open for registration, unlocking the limitations on license renewal training during the Covid-19 pandemic.
