SEREMBAN: Malaysian celebrity and entreprenuer Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor and husband Muhammad Haris Mohd Ismail pleaded not guilty to the charges of breaching the country’s COVID-19 health regulations while on a shopping trip earlier this month.
NILAI: TV host-entrepreneur Neelofa will be charged at the Magistrate s Court here on Thursday (May 20) for allegedly not adhering to Covid-19 prevention procedures when shopping for carpets at Nilai 3 near here, which was in violation of the conditional movement control order.
The 32-year-old celebrity will be charged for failing to scan her details via the MySejahtera application or manually before entering the premises.
Her husband, Muhammad Haris Muhammad Ismail, 26 will also be charged for the same offence they allegedly committed on May 2.
Nilai OCPD Supt Mohd Fazley Ab Rahman said Muhammad Haris would be slapped with an additional charge of failing to put on a face mask while in a public place.

PUTRAJAYA: A woman has been issued a RM2,000 compound for visiting her policeman husband together with her children while he was on duty at a roadblock here on Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
The incident went viral on social media with users claiming that it was a clear breach of standard operating procedures (SOP).
Putrajaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Fadzil Ali said public reaction to the incident was varied. Investigations revealed the incident occurred at the roadblock along Persiaran Selatan heading towards Dengkil on May 13. The policeman and his family also live here in Putrajaya, he said in a statement on Sunday (May 16).
SEREMBAN: TV host-entrepreneur Neelofa will have her statement recorded by police on Tuesday (May 4) over an alleged interstate trip to shop at Nilai 3, says deputy Negri Sembilan police chief Asst Comm Datuk Che Zakaria Othman.
Police will also interview the 32-year-old’s husband Muhammad Haris Muhammad Ismail, 26, after pictures and a videoclip of the couple at a carpet shop in Nilai 3 went viral on social media.
“I was told by the Nilai OCPD that they will be called in today.
“We will investigate if they travelled interstate as alleged, ” he told reporters when met at the state contingent office here Tuesday (May 4).
