April 17 : Maharashtra has been put under curfew for the next 15 days. Under the lockdown-like situation, all shoots of films and television shows have been halted, and all film releases have been postponed. Amidst the current situation, several film bodies have urged the Chief Minister of the state, Uddhav Thackeray, for some concessions for the entertainment industry during the lockdown-like situation.
Film bodies like Film and Television Producers’ Council (IFTPC), Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA), and Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA) have written a letter to the Chief Minister asking him for some concessions to cope with the current situation.
