Furniture World News By Nic Ledoux on 1/27/2021 Restonic Mattress Corporation recently announced the appointment of Laurie Tokarz as President. Tokarz, a seasoned bedding industry veteran and former chief sales officer for Visionary Sleep, steps into the position recently vacated by Ron Passaglia who moved to a consulting position on January 1st 2021.
Tokarz began her bedding career at Sibley’s department store as a buyer, making her way to divisional merchandise manager for the home furnishings division before moving to Bauhaus Upholstery and then Serta in 1996 as a sales rep. In 2000, Tokarz joined Alliance Sleep Products, a Restonic licensee, and worked alongside the late Tom Comer, eventually serving as president. In 2017, Bob Sherman acquired Alliance Sleep and Tokarz transitioned to chief sales officer for the newly formed Visionary Sleep. Tokarz also currently serves on the ISPA board of trustees

Carter Gronbach, a 30-year mattress industry veteran who has held senior operations and executive posts with some of the industry’s leading bedding brands, has joined independent West Coast bedding manufacturer Pleasant Mattress as president. He will focus on the company’s day-to-day operations working to incorporate key efficiencies throughout the company. Gronbach reports to Chief Executive Officer Rion Morgenstern.
“Being able to bring someone of Carter’s caliber on board will help propel Pleasant Mattress to a new level of productivity and efficiency and bring a more global view to our operations to better meet the needs of our customers,” Morgenstern said. “His expansive experience with leading bedding brands provides us with keen insights and will be a huge asset to our operation. With Carter coming aboard to focus on day-to-day operations, I will have more
