India records 4.14 lakh new Covid cases, the highest so far, 3,915 deaths

India has recorded 4,14,188 fresh
Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours the highest so far, along with 3,915 fatalities, taking the total number of cases in the country to 2,14,91,598, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Friday.
It is the third time after May 1 that India has crossed the four lakh mark of active cases in last 24 hours. On Thursday, India recorded 4,12,262 cases.
It is the 15th straight day when India recorded more than three lakh cases while over 3,000 casualties have been reported for the last nine days.

PM only did his Mann ki Baat: Soren

Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], May 7 (ANI): Soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren about the COVID-19 situation in the state on Thursday night, the Chief Minister tweeted and claimed that the Prime Minister only did his Mann ki Baat during the conversation. The Prime Minister called today. He only delivered his Mann ki Baat during the conversation. It would have been better if he had listened to and spoken on important matters, Soren tweeted in Hindi.
PM Modi on Thursday also spoke to Chief Ministers of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Lieutenant Governors of Puducherry and Jammu and Kashmir about the COVID-19 situation in their respective states and Union Territories.
