Jammu: Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Friday said the government has provided development with dignity to the people living along the International Border (IB) and this was visible in the form of individual bunkers and 1,000 modern toilets coming up in these areas.
He also said four per cent reservation has also been provided to the youth living along the IB.
Describing the recently held District Development Council (DDC) election in Jammu and Kashmir as a turning point in the history of the Union Territory, Singh said the new councillors are blessed to be the face of this new chapter of history, which offers them a huge opportunity to perform and prove themselves.

Bird flu fear crashes prices of chicken, poultry products
The poultry industry that was recently battered by the coronavirus pandemic is braving yet another storm in the form of avian flu. Due to the fear of bird flu that has been confirmed in multiple states across the country, sale in the poultry industry has seen a dip. Transportation of hens from one state to another has been banned in North India resulting in significant dip in sales of chicken and chicken products.

Especially in north India, the poultry industry has been badly affected by ban on the transportation of hens from one state to another. A delegation from the industry is scheduled to meet the central government on Sunday.
