New Delhi [India], May 19 (ANI): A day after he suggested that more pharma companies should be allowed to manufacture the COVID-19 vaccine, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari clarified that he was unaware of a speech made by Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya that explained government's efforts to ramp up vaccine production.

Highlights On Tuesday, Gadkari had said that if demand for vaccines will be more than supply it will create problems. Gadkari suggested at least 10 more companies should be given license in order to scale up production. At present, only Bharat Biotech and Serum Institute of India (SII) have been permitted to manufacture coronavirus vaccines. New Delhi: Congress leader and former Union minister Jairam Ramesh took a dig at Centre after Union Minister Nitin Gadkari recommended that more pharma companies should be allowed to manufacture COVID-19 vaccines. Sharing Gadkari’s video, Ramesh took a potshot at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and tweeted, “But is his Boss listening? This is what Dr. Manmohan Singh had suggested on April 18th.”
