He told IANS the government is fully committed to procure every single grain of wheat from the mandis and also to ensure the safety of farmers, labourers, arhtiyas and officials of procurement agencies.

Cabinet approves Rs 4,500 cr PLI scheme to boost manufacturing of solar PV Modules New Delhi, Apr 7 (UNI) The Cabinet on Wednesday approved implementation of the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme National Programme on High Efficiency Solar PV (Photo Voltic) Modules for achieving manufacturing capacity of GW scale in high efficiency solar PV modules with an outlay of Rs 4,500 crore. The Cabinet, in a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved the the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy s proposal. After the meeting, Union Minister Piyush Goyal told a press conference here that at present, there is a dependence on imported solar PV cells and modules largely for solar capacity enhancement, as the domestic manufacturing industry has limited operational solar PV cells and modules.

Text Size: A+ New Delhi: A week after four Christian women including two nuns were harassed in Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi, the National Commission for Minorities said the incident “reeks of politics”. “The incident occurred in Uttar Pradesh but is resonating in Kerala because elections are underway there,” NCM Vice-Chairman Atif Rasheed told ThePrint. Rasheed was referring to the political outcry that followed the incident with the nuns, who hailed from Kerala. Pinarayi Vijayan, the state’s chief minister, also wrote to Home Minister Amit Shah asking him to take action against the accused. The minorities commission member further noted that while the episode appeared political in nature, he has directed authorities to file a report.
