A draft of China’s new Five-Year Plan (2021-2025), which is set to be formally approved on March 11, has given the green light for the first dams to be built on the lower reaches of Yarlung Zangbo river, as the Brahmaputra is known in Tibet, before it flows into India.

In an attempt to acknowledge the efforts of women in breaking down the stereotypes in erstwhile male-dominated maritime sector, Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has flagged off an all-women crew onboard Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) vessel MT Swarna Krishna, the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways said on Sunday.

New Delhi, Mar 07: In an attempt to acknowledge the efforts of women in breaking down the stereotypes in erstwhile male-dominated maritime sector, Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has flagged off an all-women crew onboard Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) vessel MT Swarna Krishna, the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways said on Sunday.

The vessel was virtually flagged off by the Ports, Shipping and Waterways Minister on March 6, it said. The Shipping Corporation of India, as a part of its ongoing Diamond Jubilee celebrations and also to commemorate the International Women s Day on March 8, 2021, achieved another feat when Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ports, Shipping & Waterways, virtually flagged off the All Women Officers Sailing on MT Swarna Krishna - SCI

Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Tuesday said the Maritime India Vision 2030 will open up new avenues for the port and maritime sector.
Speaking at a Forum of Global CEOs at the Maritime India Summit 2021, Mandivya said this is the right time to invest in India, do business in India-with India .
Domestic markets closed with massive gains in a session marred by a technical glitch and look set to extend their winning run to the third day today amid strong cues from global peers. Besides, the US regulator said Johnson & Johnson’s Covid-19 vaccine is safe and effective, further boosting the market sentiment.
