New Delhi [India], April 5 (ANI): Hours after Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh submitted his resignation on moral grounds , Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Monday said Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has lost the moral responsibility to govern. I find it interesting that Anil Deshmukh has taken moral responsibility. Deshmukh in his letter said that he is giving his resignation on moral grounds. How about the responsibility of CM? Where is your morality? Uddhav Thackeray has forfeited the moral responsibility to govern, Prasad said.

Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Monday dismissed as “completely baseless” allegations appearing in media reports in France of payoffs to middlemen in the Rafale aircraft deal.
At a press conference at the party headquarters here on the resignation of Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh after the Supreme Court asked the CBI to probe allegations of graft against him, Mr. Prasad also responded to questions on the French media reports.

Responding to allegations that French combat jet company Dassault paid 1 million euro to an Indian middleman after signing of the India-France agreement in 2016, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, in turn, targeted the rival Congress for flagging the allegations of a French anti-corruption agency.
Dismissing the new Rafale report as “corporate rivalry” and “completely baseless”, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad accused the Congress of weakening the morale of Armed Forces, reminding it that the same “Sushen Gupta” named in the report had “links” with the Congress as established by AgustaWestland case.
