New Delhi, Jan 29 : Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Friday slammed the Opposition parties, especially the Congress for boycotting President Ram Nath Kovind s address to the Parliament and asked what kind of precedent and tradition they are leaving for the country?
Speaking to the media after the President s address, Prasad said: He is the President and he is entitled to our respect. It is a matter of great regret today that the Opposition sought to boycott it but more particularly the irresponsible role of Congress where they had ruled India for almost 50 years and still has government in many Indian states.

On 21 January, a parliamentary panel on information technology questioned WhatsApp representatives on its recently proposed changes in the privacy policy.
Earlier this month, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology asked WhatsApp to withdraw its privacy policy. It said the new terms and conditions take away choice from Indian users.
The change in WhatsApp s privacy terms, which required users to share their data with both Facebook and Instagram, led several users to switch to other messaging apps like Signal.

New Delhi [India], December 23 (ANI): The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology on Wednesday announces the Grand Challenge for Strengthening CoWIN the COVID Vaccine Intelligence Network , a digitalised platform for the effective national rollout and scaling up of the COVID Vaccine Distribution System.
As per a statement, winners of the challenge will get rewards totaling Rs 3.85 Crores.
Registration starts today and is open for participants till 15th January 2021.
At the launch of the platform, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad invited innovators and startups for the grand challenge to strengthen the CoWIN platform for the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccination program across India.
