New Delhi: Private hospitals can charge up to Rs 250 for every dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in phase 2 of the immunisation drive that is set to start from 1 March.
âStates have been explained that the private hospitals functioning as CVCs (Covid Vaccination Centres) can charge subject to a ceiling of Rs 250 per person per dose along with the electronic and financial management mechanism in this regard,â the health ministry said in a press statement Saturday.

A list of all these private hospitals has been uploaded on the website of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and National Health Authority
New Delhi: The government of India on Saturday said that around 10,000 hospitals that come under the Ayushman Bharat-PMJAY and 687 hospitals under the Central Government Health Scheme can be used by states as Covid-19 vaccination centres (CVCs).

Centre caps vaccine doses at Rs 250 at private hospitals
As India readies for phase-2 of COVID-19 vaccination, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan, on Saturday, announced that pricing for a vaccine dose has been capped at Rs 250 at private hospitals. While vaccine doses will be available free of cost at government centres, the Centre will bear the cost of the inoculation. As of date, 77 per cent of health care workers have been administered with the first dose and 70 per cent got the second dose - totalling 1,35,60,983 doses.
