New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the 18th Convocation of Tezpur University in Assam on Friday at 10.30 AM through video conferencing.
At 10:30 AM tomorrow, 22nd January, I look forward to addressing the
Convocation of Tezpur University. This is a wonderful opportunity to interact with the bright youngsters from Assam and the Northeast.
According to
Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) release, Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal `Nishank` and Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will also be present on the occasion.

CBSE class 10 and 12 exams would be held from May 4-June 10.
Board exam datesheet would be released on cbse.nic.in.
CBSE board exam 2020-21: At a time when several schools have opened to prepare students of class 10th and 12th for the CBSE board exams, students expect that the board would soon make an official announcement and release the CBSE exam datesheet.
Once the announcement is made, students can check the CBSE class 10th and 12th datesheet on the official website of the board, which is cbse.nic.in.
Meanwhile, the central government has repeatedly asked the students of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class 10, 12 boards exams 2021 not to pay heed to fake reports on board exams that are being circulated online. The board has advised students to regularly visit CBSE s official website to check for the latest updates.
Guwahati: Tezpur University will conduct its 18
th Convocation on January 22, 2021, in Assam. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is said to attend the Convocation virtually.
Assam governor and Tezpur University chancellor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi will also preside over the programme in a virtual mode. A total of 1218 students will be awarded degrees and diplomas by the university in the Convocation. Among the total number of students, 371 are undergraduate students, 725 postgraduate students, while the number of postgraduate diploma students is 36, and over 86 students are pursuing PhD.
Notably, over 48 toppers from various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes under the Tezpur university will be awarded gold medals.
