RAHWAY – Jennea Workman s life was moving in the right direction, and she was happy. Workman, 24, a licensed phlebotomist, had a job and a car, was in her first semester in nursing school and had just gotten her first apartment. She was definitely in a good space. When she got her apartment, she was so happy. She would get on her hands and knees and scrub her floor with a toothbrush in the corners. She definitely loved her apartment. She had pictures of everybody in her circle that she loved in her apartment, Workman s brother, Darius James, said. She loved being out on her own and she was definitely coming into her own. She was really on the path to be doing better things.

In addition to murder, Andrew Burr, 21, was also charged with two weapons-related offenses in connection with the death of Shaquin Ingram, according to a joint statement from the Elizabeth Police Department and the Union County Prosecutor’s Office. Ingram was found in an apartment on the 10 block of Jacques Street around 1 a.m. on Jan. 4, the office said. Police were called to the apartment to do a welfare check and found Ingram suffering from serious injuries, officials said. Investigators have not said how Ingram died.

Officers seized more than 9,400 grams of fentanyl, over 3,400 grams of cocaine, over 1700 grams of methamphetamine, over 800 grams of fentanyl pills, about eight grams of heroin, a loaded gun, and $118,395. The street value of the drugs is approximately $1 million.
