Naqvi gives nod to convert Ajmer Dargah s community halls, guest houses into COVID care centre ANI | Updated: Apr 27, 2021 21:17 IST
New Delhi [India], April 27 (ANI): Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Tuesday approved the proposal to convert an Ajmer Sharif Dargah community halls and guest houses into a temporary COVID Care Centre amid surging coronavirus infections.
In a letter written in response to Dargah Committee president Amin Pathan s request of converting the rest house into a Corona Care Centre , Naqvi said, During the COVID-19 pandemic, it is the moral and humanitarian duty of every institution in the country to provide full support for the health and well-being of the people in this challenging time.

New Delhi: Alleging that for the Congress secularism is a “vote-hijacking machine”, Union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Sunday said the BJP is the most secular party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the “icon of our constitutional commitment to secularism”.

A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi took his first dose of Covid-19 vaccine in the second phase drive, senior Union ministers, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan also got themselves vaccinated in the national capital on Tuesday.
While Law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad got inoculated in Patna, Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi got his first shot of anti-coronavirus vaccine in Rampur.
Dr Vardhan along with his wife took the first dose of indigenously developed Covid-19 vaccine- Covaxin, at the Delhi Heart and Lung Institute, by paying Rs 250 each for the jab.
