Following the backlash over the controversial advertisement featuring actor Sunny Leone, Mankind Pharma withdrew the ad and issued a statement which read, “The Navratri hoardings campaign was not meant to hurt anyone s sentiments and was immediately withdrawn. We deeply regret any such incident.”
The billboards had been put up with the tagline, ‘Aa Navratrie ramo parantu prem thi (This Navratri, play, but with love).’

New Delhi, March 2 (IANS) Union Consumer Affairs and Food and Public Distribution, Railway and Commerce and Industries Minister Piyush Goyal while presiding over the third Governing Council meeting of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) said that there will be no compromise with the quality standards of the projects which are exported and strict action will be taken against people who demand bribe for doing any work related to quality standards.

New Delhi, Jan 29 : Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has written a letter to Union Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Minister Piyush Goyal, urging him to increase the permitted amount of 24 lakh metric tonnes of rice to be procured under the central pool to 40 lakh metric tonnes in the Kharif marketing year 2020-21.
