It was also decided that CBSE will take steps to compile the results of class XII students as per a well-defined objective criteria in a time-bound manner

Assam HS Exam Notification: State Education Minister Dr. Ronuj Pegu has said that the HS examinations, 2021 in the State will be in the CBSE style.
Talking to the media after a video conference that Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had with the Education Ministers of States and UTs, Pegu said, The Union Defence Minister said that the Class XII examination process under the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has to be completed by September 5, 2021. Singh further said that the Centre will clear the matter within two or three days. In Assam, the HS examinations are conducted by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC). The State Assam HS examination is likely to be conducted in July in the CBSE style. The modality of evaluation of the answer scripts will be similar to that of the CBSE.

New Delhi: A High-level virtual meeting will be convened tomorrow with all the States/UT Education Ministers, Education Secretaries and Chairpersons of State Examination Boards and stakeholders to discuss the proposals for the conduct of exams for Class XII and entrance examinations for professional courses.
The meeting will be chaired by Union Defence Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh in the presence of Union Minister for Education Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Union Minister for Women and Child, Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani and Union Minister Information and Broadcasting, Shri Prakash Javadekar.
In a letter written by the Union Education Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ to States/UTs, he has stated that the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education and CBSE are exploring options regarding the conduct of examinations, keeping in mind the safety and security of the students and the teachers.
