Ensuring the fool-proof verification of the eligibility, caste status, Aadhaar identification and bank account details on the online portal will be the state s responsibility. The Union Cabinet (Committee on Economic Affairs), on December 23, approved changes to the post-matric scholarship scheme for students from the Scheduled Castes, including new funding pattern. The aim is to enable four crore students to access higher education over the next five years
