On Wednesday, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut launched a fresh attack against international pop icon Rihanna who on February 2 took to her Twitter handle to extend support to the farmers months-long campaign against agriculture laws passed by the Central Government.
Tens of thousands of farmers have been camping out on the outskirts of New Delhi since late last year, braving the winter chill to oppose three new laws that they say will benefit big business at their expense.

Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty on Wednesday joined the likes of Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Ajay Devgn and Ekta Kapoor on expressing his opinion about the ongoing protest by farmers. Suniel, along with the other actors, urged people not to fall for false propaganda against India.
His tweet came after international pop icon as Rihanna and other known personalities like Mia Khalifa and Greta Thunberg tweeted in favour of the farmers protest in the country.
The Union Home Affairs Ministry on Monday extended temporarily suspension of internet services till February 2 at Singhu, Ghazipur and Tikri borders, where thousands of farmers are protesting against the newly-enacted three farm laws.
