Michigan’s unemployment rate is on the rise again for the first time since April’s spike, mimicking the curves depicting the number of COVID-19 cases and pandemic restrictions in the state.
Michigan’s November unemployment rate is 6.9%, the state announced Wednesday. It also adjusted October’s rate – moving it to 6.1% after the preliminary estimate of 5.5%.
November’s 0.8% increase in the state’s unemployment rate is Michigan’s first rise since unemployment went from 4.3% in March to 24% in April.
