The Berryville Bobcats 2021 baseball season came to an end with a loss to Gravette in the first round of the district tournament on Monday, April 26 but not without a fight.
Gravette hung to win 10-9 after Berryville scored eight times in the bottom of the sixth inning to turn a nine-run deficit into a nail-biter.
The Bobcats had the tying run on second when the sixth inning ended on a strikeout.
Berryvilles comeback included seven hits and two walks in the sixth.
Dominic Henry started the big inning with a single, then stole second and moved to third on a single by Jack Dignan. Apen Linz walked to load the bases and Tanner Rosales also drew a base on balls to score Henry. Chris Hipps followed with a two-run single to left field, then Jarrett Stringer had a RBI single to left.

The Berryville Bobcats jumped out to an early lead and never trailed in an 11-1 victory over visiting Green Forest in high school baseball action Friday, April 23.
After holding Green Forest scoreless in the top of the first inning, the Bobcats took the lead for good on Chris Hipps RBI single that scored Tanner Rosales in the bottom of the inning.
Berryville made it 3-0 in the second on RBI singles by Rosales and Jarrett Stringer. Rosales drove in Dominic Henry, then came around to score on Stringers hit.
Green Forest scored its only run in the top of the third when Reiley Gordons RBI single brought home Barrett Phillips.

The Berryville High School baseball team dropped a pair of games last week, losing to Farmington 7-2 on Monday, April 12, and then falling to Gentry 10-0 on Thursday.
Fridays scheduled game against Elkins was rained out.
In the loss to Farmington, Berryville trailed 2-1 after three innings before the Cardinals scored four runs in the top of the fourth.
Tanner Rosales had two hits for the Bobcats.
Berryville will host Elkins on Tuesday and then play at Pea Ridge on Thursday before hosting Green Forest on Friday for Senior Night.

The Berryville Bobcats picked up a big conference win on Monday, April 5, defeating Gravette 3-2 behind solid pitching and error-free defense.
With the game tied 2-2 in the bottom of the fourth inning, Aspen Linz drew a leadoff walk, then moved to second on a groundout and scored on an RBI single by Dylan Higgins to give Berryville the lead for good.
Higgins and Chris Hipps each had two of the Bobcats seven hits. Higgins drove in two runs and Hipps drove in one.

After taking a week off for Spring Break, the Berryville Bobcats got to play plenty of baseball last week.
The Bobcats played five games in as many days, hosting Harrison on Tuesday before traveling to Huntsville on Thursday and then facing Clinton, Valley Springs and Lamar on Friday and Saturday in tournament action at Harrison.
Berryvilles only victory during that stretch was a 12-3 win over Valley Springs in five innings on Saturday.
The Bobcats put that game away with a 10-run outburst in the bottom of the third inning highlighted by a three-run home run from freshman Chris Hipps.
