Covenant Health photo gallery to be featured at First Friday Art Trail

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Covenant Healthâs photo gallery âThe Show Must Go Onâ will be featured at the 200th First Friday Art Trail Friday, May 7.
During the pandemic, Covenant Health received many questions from people who thought COVID-19 was the only thing being treated. Pandemic or not, the hospital continued to take care of all types of patients. To showcase all the hospital does, it hired local photographer Ash Blythe to visit and capture patients, families and caregivers in the moment.
Through the Lubbock Public Health Department, 61,470 individuals have received their first dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccination, 53,590 have received their second doses, and 2,454 have received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
The City of Lubbock Public Health Department confirmed three additional COVID-19 cases and three recoveries as of 4 p.m. April 26, according to a city news release. On April 24 Lubbock reported seven new cases, six recoveries and no additional deaths as of 4 p.m.: seven new cases, three recoveries and no additional deaths as of 4 p.m. April 25.
Lubbock County has a total case count of 48,815; of these 92 are active, 47, 998 are recovered and 725 total COVID-19-related deaths have been reported.
The hospitalization percentage in Lubbock is 2.23 percent as of April 25, according to the release. Lubbock remains under the 15 percent threshold outlined in Governor Greg Abbottâs Executive Orders.
