Madison County jail inmate dies overnight Updated Mar 16, 2021; Madison County authorities say an inmate died overnight in the county detention center. Sheriff Kevin Turner announced this morning that Kenneth King, 73, was discovered dead in his cell of suspected natural causes. An autopsy will be performed by the State Forensics Lab to verify the cause of death, Turner said. According to the sheriff’s office, King was sentenced by the City of Huntsville Municipal Court for fourth degree theft of property in January, and he had been in jail since. “King suffered from numerous underlying health issues and had received medical treatment on different occasions since January,” Turner said.
