If a shooting took place inside or outside a private home or vehicle, cleanup and repair are up to whomever is responsible for that property. In many cases that means the victim’s family, biological or chosen.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) In the days after Patricia Norris was murdered in her West Oak Lane home, her family was busy planning the unexpected funeral, and investigators had finished collecting evidence. But no one told the Norris family what they’d find when they came back to the house to collect Patricia’s belongings.
Renee Norris-Jones, Patricia’s sister, stepped into the basement, shocked to see blood still on the walls. She remembers crying and thinking: My God, the police were just here with the yellow tape. They don’t clean this stuff up?

+ March 16, 2021 ON FEBRUARY 5, the body of a man was discovered floating in a deep excavation of an ongoing project in Barangay Talomo River, Calinan, Davao City. The man was believed to have been drunk and accidentally fell the night before.
Following the incident, a concerned citizen asked Davao City Councilor Mabel Sunga-Acosta during the Katikaran sa Konseho on Davao City Disaster Radio on March 4, 2020 what her committee could do regarding unattended street holes and diggings. Acosta is the head of the City Council Committee on Public Safety and Security.
As part of the legislative body, Acosta said there is no need to create a law on unattended street holes and diggings. Instead, she is urging citizens to report it to the government.
The Mitchell Administration should give careful consideration to a motion filed by New Bedford City Councilor-at-Large Brian Gomes that could be a game-changer in the war against COVID-19 locally.
Gomes, who chairs the City Council Committee on Public Safety and Neighborhoods, wants Mayor Jon Mitchell and the New Bedford Health Department to establish a mobile unit to bring COVID-19 vaccines, tests, and information about the virus to otherwise hard-to-reach neighborhoods of the city.
The unit would schedule visits to neighborhoods where residents might not have access to the internet and may not be familiar with the process of scheduling an appointment to be vaccinated. Gomes says residents of some of the less affluent neighborhoods may not have transportation to mass vaccination locations. He hopes a mobile unit might have more success reaching immigrants, who often live in the shadows, by going where they live.
