Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 3) The Department of Social Welfare and Development has already provided the list of individuals who will receive cash aid amid the new round of enhanced community quarantine in the Greater Manila area.
Under joint memorandum circular 1-2020, those from low-income households, members of the vulnerable sector, and those greatly affected by the ECQ are among the beneficiaries.
Local government units in the NCR Plus bubble are now just waiting for the release of the funds from the Department of Budget and Management.
Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte confirmed the DSWD already sent the list of beneficiaries. Once the funds have been disbursed to the LGU, they will immediately begin the rollout, she added.

Belmonte said this can be the basis to increase the fine for those apprehended for not wearing face masks in public places.
“Batayan is kung maraming repeat offenders, kung nag repeat offend na siya ng dalawa, tatlong beses, apat na beses…Siguro ‘yan ay isang indikasyon na dapat talagang itaas na yung multa (The basis is if there are many repeat offenders or if a person has already repeated the offense twice, thrice or four times…maybe that is an indication that the fine should be really increased),” Belmonte said.

Belmonte said that the local government will also provide food packs to workers affected by the two-week closure of the said establishments.
“Kami naman po sa lungsod Quezon ay magbibigay ng ayuda sa lahat po ng empleyado na hindi makakapagtrabaho sa dalawang linggo ng ating pagpapatupad ng ban na ito or suspension ng operations (The Quezon City government will provide assistance to all employees who will not be able to work for two weeks due to the ban or suspension of operations),” she said.
Belmonte ordered the closure of spas and gyms in the city on Sunday (March 14) after a serious outbreak in one gym.
