Mall cleaners are calling on the
City Center Mall in White Plains to let them keep their jobs.
Kite Realty Group, which owns the
mall, is changing to a different cleaning company on Jan. 1 called Gladiator -
a non-union organization.
Last year,
Westchester County strengthened a law where if there s a change in cleaning and
maintenance companies, workers must be offered a job for at least 90 days.
The cleaners, who
are part of the 32JB Service Employees International Union, say they haven t
