Image Source: IANS News Gurugram, Dec 27 : The Special Task Force (STF) of Haryana police on Sunday claimed to have cracked ten murder cases, committed over a span of ten years in Gurugram, with the arrest of a dreaded gangster Virender alias Binder Gurjar from Mumbai s Taloja jail. According to an official, the special team, taking action as per the directions of senior officers, arrested Binder Gurjar on production warrant for the murder of Ashok Kumar (25) in Gurugram, five years back. Ashok was then the driver of Gurjar, when he was the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) Councillor of ward no 19. He was later found dead in a Maruti Swift car parked on the Basai road in 2015.

With challan book for kids, MCG hopes to impart lessons in cleanliness According to MCG officials, the challan books will be available as both hard and soft copies and the penalties will be in the form of chocolates, toys, ice cream and books, instead of money. Updated: December 25, 2020 11:55:05 am An official said that children named ‘Sanitation Captains’ can challan their family members if they violate rules, such as using plastic carry bags, not segregating waste, throwing wet waste into the dry waste dustbin, or throwing waste in the open. To teach children the need to maintain cleanliness and hygiene and imbibe an eco-friendly lifestyle, the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG), earlier this week, launched a ‘Family Sanitation Challan Book’ using which children will be able to penalise their relatives “in play” for irresponsibility or violations in this regard.

Construction planning of indoor stadium by Municipal Corporation of Gurugram

December 24, 2020 Share The construction of an indoor sports stadium is being planned by The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) in Sector 23, opposite Palam Vihar. This indoor stadium will have facilities for sports such as badminton, table tennis, boxing, wrestling and kabaddi, among others. The funding for the project has been approved by the finance and contract committee (F&CC) and preparation of the detailed project report (DPR) has already been started by the MCG. This is one of MCG’s biggest initiatives for establishing a sports stadium in each of its four zones. According to the plan proposed there will be an on-site medical room in the stadium premises for ensuring basic first aid treatments to the athletes. DPR will also address the parking facility and source of electricity as there are plans for installing solar panels on top of the stadium that will help in the running of the stadium lights, central air conditioning system, and other electrical equipm
