City road expansion works progressing fast in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, April 21, 2021 (BSS) – Implementation works of a major road expansion project are progressing fast in the city despite the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic situation at present.
Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) has been implementing the project for expansion and development of the road from Kolpona crossing to Talaimary crossing with an estimated cost of around Taka 164.19 crore.
City Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton inspected the road development and inquired about progress of the works today asking all concerned to maintain standard.
The 2.25-kilometer road is being elevated to four-lane with drains and 2.20-meter wide footpaths on both sides of the road.

Mangaluru poised to get continuous water supply under Jalasiri

Mangaluru, Jan 16: The city is growing in all aspects and as expected, demand for water has been rising. As per a survey, the population of the city may reach 10.33 lac by 2046, and the daily water need then has been calculated at 236.6 million litres per day.
Taking into account these things, the state government has approved a scheme, Jalasiri , under which water is proposed to be supplied non-stop. Under this scheme, 1,15,036 tap connections are proposed to be provided, which will supply water to 10.34 lac people all 24 hours of the day.
