It is hard to understand why Gov. Andrew Cuomo continues to move forward with cuts to Medicaid and his threats to many programs that help seniors and people with disabilities live independently and avoid being institutionalized in nursing homes and assisted living facilities the epicenter of the coronavirus in our state.
Cuts to Medicaid and tightening eligibility requirements for programs puts over 3 million people with disabilities and seniors in danger of accessing the care they need. People with disabilities and seniors are worried about catching the coronavirus because some have compromised immune systems and other underlying conditions that make them more vulnera
