‘150 families facing eviction due to the project across Thondar rivulet’
Farmers under the aegis of the Action Council Against Thondar Dam, a coordination committee of 10 farmer groups in Thondarnadu, Edavaka and Vellamunda grama panchayats, are gearing up to intensify their agitation against the construction of a dam across the Thondar rivulet, a tributary of the Kabini river at Moolithodu in the district.

Scheme will adversely affect 650 families, say activists
A group of farmers under the aegis of the Action Council Against Thondar Dam, a coordination committee of eight farmer groups in Thondarnadu, Edavaka, and Vellamunda grama panchayats, is gearing up to launch a series of agitations with the support of the Wayanad Prakruthi Samrakshana Samiti (WPSS) against the construction of a dam across the Thondar rivulet, a tributary of the Kabini river at Moolithodu in the district.
