Collision Involving Pedestrian On West Bay Road 18 December 2020, 05:11 AM

Shortly after 6:00PM 16 December, officers responded to a report of a collision involving a white Toyota HiAce and a pedestrian on West Bay Road, in the vicinity of Ernest Jackson Drive. Emergency Services attended the scene and the pedestrian was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment for serious injuries. He remains in hospital in critical but stable condition. A dog that the pedestrian had been walking also sustained injuries during the collision, resulting in its death. The driver of the Toyota was uninjured, and the matter is currently under investigation.
