Jun 27, 2021 01:25:54 PM Nausori Town Council services will be disrupted in the coming weeks as 42 workers are currently either in isolation, quarantine or in containment area. Minister for Local Government Premila Kumar said only urgent services such as garbage collection, market operations and fees collection would be undertaken until all staff were back to work. Kumar said the Council had to close the Nakasi office as they had to redeploy staff to assist in market management and other essential services. “Resources had to be rearranged to ensure continuity of critical services. We are strategising how best these services of urgent nature can be carried out without much disruption to ratepayers, vendors and the public,” stated Hon. Kumar.
