The votes are in and more than 122,000 Minnesotans have voted to name eight snowplows in the state’s fleet. And, of course, Plowy McPlowface tops the list.
The winning names are: Plowy McPlowFace (Metro district); Ope, Just Gonna Plow Right Past Ya (District 4); Duck Duck Orange Truck (District 1); Plow Bunyan (District 2); Snowbi Wan Kenobi (District 6); F. Salt Fitzgerald (District 7), Darth Blader (District 3); and The Truck Formerly Known As Plow (District 8).
The competition started earlier this winter and people were asked to submit suggestions for the names of eight plows. Each plow will serve in one of Minnesota’s eight districts. More than 24,000 suggestions came in, according to CBS Minnesota, and the list was whittled down to 50 that people were asked to vote for online.
Since 2019, we’ve known that an entirely new theme park is coming to Orlando. But until today, we didn’t know with any certainty what the park’s future would be in a post-pandemic world. From health care policy to the budget, from education policy to the environment, the Session will seem like all COVID-19, all the time. Even where legislation doesnât directly link to COVID-19 â say, school choice â lawmakers will be factoring in what it will cost in a pandemic-battered economy or how it will help kids whose schooling was turned upside down.

New rides and attractions are coming to Orlando’s three big theme parks.
This is despite Disney, Universal and SeaWorld seeing massive revenue loss and lower attendance due to capacity limits because of the pandemic.
And though projects came to a stop because of COVID-19, things are now ramping up.
At Walt Disney World, the company confirmed construction projects for three rides and a new Star Wars-themed hotel are back underway.
And Disney isn’t alone. The industry is also watching out for the release of new roller coasters at Universal Studios and SeaWorld.
