Topnotch Management has made it official: A prominent Women s Tennis Association tournament is coming to the Flats this summer. The Cleveland Championships, a WTA 250 event, will be held at Jacobs Pavilion and the surrounding Nautica Entertainment Complex the week of Aug. 22-28. Topnotch, a Cleveland agency that represents professional tennis and soccer players, first told Crain s of its plans for the WTA tournament in January. At the time, the only thing holding the company back from fully committing to the venture was a lack of firm commitments on sponsorships.
