With sponsors on board, WTA tournament is heading to Cleveland this summer

Jacobs Pavilion will serve as the main court for the Cleveland Championships, a WTA tournament that will be held at the Nautica Entertainment Complex in August.
Topnotch Management has made it official: A prominent Women's Tennis Association tournament is coming to the Flats this summer.
The Cleveland Championships, a WTA 250 event, will be held at Jacobs Pavilion and the surrounding Nautica Entertainment Complex the week of Aug. 22-28.
Topnotch, a Cleveland agency that represents professional tennis and soccer players, first told Crain's of its plans for the WTA tournament in January. At the time, the only thing holding the company back from fully committing to the venture was a lack of firm commitments on sponsorships.
