BILLINGS - A man described as a person of interest in a Billings homicide who is also wanted on felony charges has been captured.
The U.S. Marshals Service said in a press release issued Friday that Lorenzo James Harris was captured Thursday in Chicago by a fugitive task force. He is pending extradition from Illinios to Montana.
Harris, 28, has been described as a person of interest in a Billings homicide, according to authorities. He is also wanted on two felony warrants out of Yellowstone County District Court for violations of conditional release on original convictions for assault with a weapon and strangulation of a partner or family member, the press release states.
CHICAGO, Il. - A man wanted by the U.S. Marshals Montana Violent Offenders Task Force on several charges in Yellowstone County has been captured in Chicago, Illinois.
Chief Deputy US Marshal Timothy Hornung says 28-year-old Lorenzo Harris was captured on Thursday, January 28th in Chicago, Illinois with the help of the US Marshalsâ sponsored Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Two Yellowstone County District Court warrants were issued for Harrisâ arrest on December 30th, 2020.
Both warrants were Violations of Conditional Release with original charges of Assault with Weapon and Strangulation of a Partner or Family Member.
Hornung also says Harris is a person of interest in a homicide investigation being conducted by the Billings Police Department.
