A man has been charged with kidnapping and attempted murder after a woman was found with stab wounds near Ipswich almost 50 miles away from where the incident began.
Christopher Crichton is due to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court on Wednesday, April 28 following the incident on Monday, April 26.
The 32-year-old, of Park Street in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, was initially taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre, but was then transferred to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre to be interviewed on Tuesday.
Police were called just 8.40am to reports a woman had been seen in distress in the Yarmouth Road area of Kirby Cane, near Bungay.

A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder and kidnapping after an incident which began in a Norfolk village and ended almost 50 miles away in Ipswich.
Christopher Crichton appeared at Norwich Magistrates Court on Wednesday, April 28 via videolink from Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre following the incident on Monday, April 26.
The 32-year-old, of Park Street in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, wore a dark top and Covid mask and spoke only to confirm his details during the brief hearing.

Two men have been arrested in connection with a crash that saw a driver ram two police cars before careering into a level crossing.
Police said that the vehicles had not been chasing the driver at the time of the crash that caused delays on roads across Lowestoft.
A police spokesman said: Today, Wednesday, April 28, officers from Operation Sentinel arrested two persons in connection to a road traffic collision at Oulton Broad, on the B1531 Victoria Road, on April 14. A male, aged 24 from the Lowestoft area, was arrested for aggravated vehicle taking, driving whilst disqualified and failing to stop for police/failing to report an accident.
