LONG ISLAND, NY – Long Island could see more snow fall on Wednesday and Thursday than it did all of last winter. The National Weather Service hasn t made any official snow total estimates for the midweek storm yet, but they do say there s a good chance of significant accumulation.
The current forecast says snow is likely on the island from about 4 p.m. Wednesday until 6 a.m. Thursday.

A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for the region. There is potential for a significant coastal storm Wednesday into Wednesday night bringing heavy snow and/or rain, strong winds and coastal flood impacts, the outlook says.
