In Maharashtra, 900 hens have succumbed to the flu at a poultry farm in Parbhani district which is located 500 kms from Mumbai. States have been told to ensure availability of PPE kits and accessories to be used to cull birds and dispose of bird carcasses. Centre has asked states to keep a tab on rumours that influence poultry product consumers. They are expected to increase awareness about their safety, especially after the products are boiled or cooked.

Centre to bear the Expenses for the First Phase of Coronavirus Vaccination:- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi today made it clear that the country is prepared for the massive vaccination distribution drive that will commence from January 16th. Narendra Modi interacted with the Chief Ministers of all the Indian states through a video conferencing today and he made it clear that the first round of vaccines would be given to the frontline workers which includes health workers, army officials and the Centre would bear the cost for the vaccine of the frontline workers. Modi said that around 30 crore people would be vaccinated soon in the country.
